This past winter, the Oak Harbor Garry Oak Society has been busy planting on campuses around Whidbey Island! Planting locations have included North Whidbey Middle School near the Swirling Leaves Sculpture, the Oak Harbor Christian School, and the Coupeville School District property near the Farm to School fields.

Additionally, we provided Garry oak acorns to the Whidbey Camano Land Trust for planting at the Hammons Family Farm Preserve.

We are so grateful to our volunteers who helped us plant these trees, and to the schools and Land Trust for allowing them to be planted. We are so excited to see these trees grow for future generations of students and islanders alike!
