Did you know? This luscious beauty is a chocolate lily, a wildflower associated with Garry oak ecosystems. Only a tiny remnant of these flowers survive today in our community in a location on Navy property. Look for the Oak Harbor Garry Oak Society booth at the Navy Open House event June 24th from 9 am-3 pm! You can learn more about Garry oaks, chat with us, pick up your own little oak seedling, and have a chance to buy some wonderful handmade items crafted from Garry oak wood!
