img_4854I’m very thankful for the dedicated volunteers who give of their time to help with Garry oak conservation in our Oak Harbor community. YOU are making a positive difference in our environment, not just in the present, but in the decades and centuries to come. I’m also thankful for our productive partnerships between OHGOS other entities such as the City of Oak Harbor, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, and Oak Harbor Public Schools. So far it’s been a busy fall with planting Garry oaks along Regatta Drive and at the campus of Oak Harbor High School. We are gearing up for next week, Tues., Nov. 29th, as we plan to plant 15 oaks around the Navy Lodge on the Seaplane Base starting at 0800. If you would like to help with this event please email Laura Renninger at Happy Thanksgiving!
